Tristan here, welcome to my website with a focus on simplicity, clarity and frugality.
My philosophy is about keeping things simple, minimal and usable. I believe this should become the mainstream philosophy in the IT sector. Unfortunately, the tendency for complex, error-prone and slow software seems to be prevalent in the present-day software industry.

These past few days have been particularly brutal. Messing around configuring https for Nextcloud has proven fruitful. Attempts to implement Vaultwarden, Hermes AI agent and a few automations here and there.

A new mjml framework was used to create responsive html email templates, cross-platform, yesterday. But I am not sure if I want to use it if it gets redirected automatically to spam folders, affecting deliverability. Fixed up nextcloud client, but there are still underlying consistency issues that need broader scope thinking.

Rewrote wmenu.sh in C, but not sure if I want to use it. Also wrote a few html email templates for professional usage.
Revised Anki flashcard first thing in the morning. Spent most of the day programming CS50x.
Applied for jobs, scoured job listings on Linkedin, feeling a certain lack of interest and motivation to continue pursuing work in Singapore. However, it is still a good and simple day programming, revising Anki flashcards and Duolingo.
Major changes I have made to index.html. Cleaned up the page by removing dead code and incorporated JSON for long-term maintainability. It's great!

An important day for mum. Facial spa for her in the morning. For lunch, we had Tonkatsu Ramen. Grandma, Mum and I celebrated with a Strawberry Rose flavoured cake and Din Tai Fung dinner.
A sudden passing of Serlina's grandpa. A travel from Tanjung Pinang, to Batam and Johor meant a late night arrival. Midnight rendezvous. Cardiac Arrest at 03:30. Frantic calls and pleas for help. Ambulance on site at 04:30. Police at 05:30. Arrangements follow suit. Same day return at 16:00 finalised.
